Today’s story on our News Page is about how some of our country’s biggest food companies are working to help childhood obesity by cutting the calories in some of their most popular foods. The Associated Press reports these companies have formed the Healthy Weight Commitment Foundation as part of an agreement with First Lady Michelle Obama.
“This is precisely the kind of private sector commitment we need,” said Mrs. Obama, who earlier this year launched her own “Let’s Move” anti-obesity campaign.
